The major ingredient in all earth ochres is iron(III) oxide-hydroxide, also known as limonite. This is what gives ochres their yellow colour. Havana Ochre is a deep natural yellow earth pigment mined in France. Havana Ochre is suitable for making artists oil paints, watercolours, acrylic paints and pastels. It can also be used with lime based products such as limewash, Lime paints, plasters and mortars.
